Sophie and David met in China, when David had flown over there to teach English. They got legally married in China but decided they wanted a traditional, elegant British wedding to celebrate with all of their friends and family. And they picked the best venue.

A year before their UK wedding date was set, Sophie and David contacted us, after finding us on Google. We arranged a Teams meeting and hit it off instantly. Sophie and David fell in love with their venue as it reminded them of ‘Downton Abbey’. Sophie’s love of this television show was made clear from the get go and as Dan and I had filmed there years ago when we worked at the BBC, we had LOTS to talk about.

Fast forward to their wedding day and we had the best time. The weather, the venue, the bespoke wedding dress, the florals, the food, the guests, it was perfection. Sophie and David’s guests had flown in from all over and it was truly a beautiful day for a wedding and outdoor ceremony in the grounds of Prestwold Hall.
